9. On the Grid
Designer Helena Morozoff of Cityhome Collective collaborated with Ann Robinson and Annie Schwemmer of Renovation Design Group and Living Home Construction to create this chic, functional bathroom for a young family in Millcreek, Utah. A curbless shower with a frameless glass divider and window opens up the space, while a floating vanity with slim Shaker-style doors and sleek pulls adds storage and contemporary style. Repeating rectilinear shapes throughout the design enhances the room’s cohesive feel.

8. Pocket Change
Design-build firm S.J. Janis created this transitional-style hall bathroom as part of a second-floor addition to a home in Hartland, Wisconsin. A shower-tub combo and toilet are tucked behind a pocket door, offering privacy from the built-in vanity area. Warm materials — midtone wood, brass accents and what appears to be grasscloth wallpaper behind the mirror — complement the vanity’s gray paint and marble-look countertop. On the shower walls, using two tile shapes in the same textured beige color creates a pattern that adds subtle visual interest.
7. Graceful Country Style
In this Giddings, Texas, bathroom by Sarah Becker Design, weathered wood doors, toile window treatments, antique brass lighting, a marble mosaic floor and beaucoup graceful flourishes evoke a charming French country farmhouse. Twin light blue-gray vanities with reeded inset doors are topped with dramatically veined stone counters, while a sumptuous soaking tub sits beside a curbless shower with a glass door.
6. Kids Zone
Vicky Karcich of KraftMaster Renovations designed this Chatham, New Jersey, hall bath with young kids and a baby in mind. To make bathing them easier, she included a tub with a shower curtain, a handheld shower head and a large niche for bath products. Small hooks on either side of the niche provide convenient spots for hanging washcloths. Black accents create a striking contrast against the mostly white finishes, including vertically stacked white subway tiles on the shower walls, while a light blue penny round tile in the niche adds a pop of color.
5. Soak It In
Remodeled by Sebring Design Build, this wet-room-style primary bathroom in Tennessee has a pared-back palette enlivened with rich texture and pattern. Vertically stacked oatmeal-colored subway tiles with an undulating surface line the walls behind the fluted soaking tub and dual shower heads. Black penny tiles cover the floor, echoing the black-framed window and niche ledges. Narrow, wood-look tiles accent the arched niche and cover the opposite wall, adding warmth and contrast.
4. Tile Style
In this Menlo Park, California, bathroom remodeled by Julie de Jesús Architecture and Baron Construction and Remodeling, green and white ceramic subway tiles cover the floor and continue up the wall behind a midtone wood vanity. The tiles are stacked in a seemingly random pattern, giving the room a modern, cheerful vibe. A rain shower and handheld shower sit behind a single fixed glass panel, with the controls thoughtfully placed on the back wall — allowing users to turn on the water without getting wet.

3. Vintage Charm
Bold color meets vintage charm in this Charlotte, North Carolina, bathroom designed for two young boys. Working with Hansen’s Renovations, designer Sara Scott of Tailored Designs preserved the original 1930s medicine cabinet and had it painted — along with the vanity and trim — in Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue. The rich color coordinates with the playful Harlequin Wood Frog wallpaper, which in turn echoes the star-and-cross pattern of the light gray floor tiles.

2. Light Touch
Near Columbus, Ohio, this renovated primary bathroom uploaded by CarifaTile features LED vanity mirrors that illuminate a striking tile backsplash. A midtone wood double vanity, brass hardware and beige floor tile bring warmth to the cool blue tones of the zellige-style tile, while a wall-mounted magnifying mirror offers extra reflection and light.
1. Coastal Calm
Designers Naomi Dresser and Caitlin Carter of Fig St. Design brought a serene, beachy vibe to this Santa Cruz, California, guest bathroom with a muted coastal palette and thoughtful custom details. Dresser, highlights the fluted cabinetry, full tile vanity backsplash and tailored countertop edges as standout features. Stacked rectangular shower tile and large-format flooring that flows seamlessly into the curbless shower enhance the space’s airy look and feel. (cited)
10. Clean and Compact
Natural materials and clean lines define this compact New York City bathroom by Jane Kim Architect. Gray-veined Blue de Savoie marble wraps the walls, while midnight blue porcelain tile grounds the shower and floor. A wall-mounted white oak vanity adds warmth and storage without crowding the space, and three deep medicine cabinets are installed side by side to appear as one sleek, continuous mirror — with room inside for bulky essentials like toilet paper.
