The listing description and photos captured the essence of the home, and we truly believe they helped attract potential buyers. Jacob Harshbarger20 May 2026Five years ago, Kathryn Festen stood in my very first home with my mom, my boyfriend, and me while we made the decision to put in an offer — and yes, we all cried together like we were in the season finale of a very emotional HGTV show. Fast forward 5 years later, and Kathy helped us find our next “perfect” property… which, to be fair, was more “potential-filled disaster with good bones” than perfect. But we saw the vision, and Kathy did too. What followed was one of the most chaotic buying experiences imaginable, complete with former owners refusing to leave the property on closing day. But through every stressful moment, Kathy and her team were absolute rock stars. They answered every question, calmed every panic spiral, and somehow managed to make us laugh through the madness. They even helped coordinate secure ownership of the property, connected us with junk removers, cleaners, storage for our moving trucks, contractors, lawyers — basically everyone short of an exorcist (though at one point we considered asking). Kathy’s support goes so far beyond “realtor.” She genuinely cares about her clients and treats you like family through every high, low, and complete dumpster-fire moment of the process. We are endlessly grateful for her passion, patience, humor, and determination to help us find the right home time and time again. We touched base with her a couple times before we were ready and she was always patient, letting us know that we would know when the time was right. When we were ready, she was incredibly helpful and very reasonable with recommendations that would help us get the best possible price. She clearly understood the market in our area and how to best show a house. She met with us several times and never rushed us or made us feel like we were taking too much of her time. As we went through the process, she had great advice and recommendations on people and businesses we needed to complete the sale and get packed and out of our home. We were out of the state when it went on the market, but everything flowed smoothly through the whole process. She was with us every step of the way! She had beautiful photos taken (we treasure having them!) and our home sold the first day for more than our asking price! From the very first moment I was connected through her via a recommendation, she was on top of everything and so attentive to my questions and desires in purchasing my first home. She is honest and never makes you feel like she's just trying to get a sale - she cares about finding the right home for YOU while being realistic about the current market. Communication was stellar at all steps of the journey, even after the purchase is concluded. I feel confident I could contact her at any time for assistance in any matters related to my home. I also loved the use of the Compass App which tailors home recommendations based on your preferences and allows you to organize interested/not interested smoothly to help wade through homes on the market (or coming soon). I was introduced to Amy Foote and her team Foote through a friend's referral. After our initial meeting, I felt relieved that I was working with a professional (not someone who is in real estate part time). Throughout the selling process, Amy was always updating me, explaining each step (something I appreciated). As we approached the closing date, the unthinkable happened, the buyers financing fell through. Almost immediately, Amy stepped up and was able to guide the buyer's realtor through the process to get the buyer re-qualified. Without Amy's help, I truly believe the whole deal would have fallen apart. Amy is a true professional. Diane24 May 2024I really enjoyed working with Amy Foote. She is the consummate professional. I hired Amy to help me sale my home. Upon my first one on one meeting with Amy my first impressions were her professionalism, and how well she understood the current market trends in my area. She reassured me numerous times my home would sell quickly. To assist with getting the most money out of the home she put me in contact with a home stager (Sheila) who was fabulous in her suggestions of how best to show the house which I did my best to follow. Another thing that impressed me was her communication from start to finish. I have known friends and family who have worked with other realtors and barely heard from them after they signed the contract. I felt once I signed with Amy, I became part of her team, and she took me under her wing and helped educate me in the process of selling a home. Her weekly status updates and reach outs when she needed more information for me made me feel I was included in the process from start to finish. She responded timely to answer all my questions and eased my worries and concerns throughout the process. Once things in my life calm down a bit and I am ready to purchase my next home, Amy will be the first and only person I will contact.
